The Prime Time Seniors Ministry at Lyman Methodist is dedicated to enriching the lives of our members aged 55 and above. Our goal is to create a vibrant community where seniors can connect, grow in their faith, and enjoy meaningful fellowship through a variety of activities and events.
What do we do?
Bingo: A fun and engaging way for seniors to socialize and enjoy a classic game. Bingo nights are filled with laughter, friendly competition, and, of course, prizes.
Lunch Bunch: A monthly gathering where seniors can come together to share a meal and fellowship. Each month features a different restaurant or dining experience, offering a great opportunity to explore new places and enjoy good food with great company.
Book Club: A literary gathering where members read and discuss selected books. The Book Club provides a space for thoughtful conversation, intellectual stimulation, and the enjoyment of shared reading experiences.
The Prime Time Seniors Ministry is passionate about creating meaningful experiences through our well-planned trips and outings. We offer a wide range of excursions that cater to the diverse interests of our members, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy. From day trips to charming nearby towns and historical landmarks to extended visits to renowned museums, botanical gardens, and cultural festivals, our outings are designed to inspire and delight.
In addition to exploring local attractions, we also organize scenic tours through picturesque landscapes, providing opportunities to experience the beauty of nature while enjoying fellowship with fellow seniors. These trips are more than just outings—they’re a chance to build lasting friendships, share laughter, and create cherished memories. Whether you’re an adventure seeker or someone who enjoys a relaxed pace, our trips offer a perfect blend of exploration and camaraderie, making every journey with Prime Time Seniors a memorable one.
Join us for the third annual Prime Paws Dog Fun Walk, hosted by Lyman Methodist Church's Prime Time Seniors Ministry! This exciting event will take place on Saturday, May 11, 2024, and is a wonderful opportunity for seniors and dog lovers alike to come together for a great cause. The walk will be held on the walking track located beside Lyman Methodist Church, directly across the street from the former back entrance to the Mill. Rain or shine, the fun begins with registration at 8:00 am, and the walk kicks off at 9:00 am.
For a registration fee of $25 per dog, participants will receive a Prime Paws T-shirt, a doggie bandana, and a keepsake photo with their canine companion. Be sure to register by April 24 to guarantee your shirt! All proceeds from the event will benefit both the Prime Time Seniors Ministry and the Spartanburg Humane Society, making this a perfect blend of fitness, fun, and philanthropy.
