Lyman Methodist Church Women’s Connection Groups
Our Motto: Connecting, Serving, and Following Jesus
Our Purpose: The purpose of Lyman Methodist Women is to connect with Jesus through fellowship, prayer, and devotion, reaching out to our community with love and in faith. We are members of the Global Methodist Church: The mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ who worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly. Over the years, we have been actively involved with MANY missions/organizations that have directly impacted our local community such as:
- Breaking Bread for Jesus
- Our very own church family
- Safe Homes
- Middle Tyger Community Center
- Faith, Family, and Love
- Ashlan Village
- Hope Remains Youth Ranch
Who Are We and What Do We Do?
We are very involved with our local church, and our community. All of our money goes to missional work either in our church or in our community. Through our biggest fundraiser, the annual Lyman Methodist Women’s Salad Luncheon, we have been able to minister to many families, women, and children in our community and in our church family. We also volunteer at Breaking Bread for Jesus and Ashlan Village. We are always looking for ways to be actively involved in missions in our community.
Lyman Methodist Women is divided into groups called Connections. There are currently three active Connection groups in our church, but there is always room for new ones:
- JOY Connection (Jesus Over You)-This Connection group meets on the 1st Thursday of each month @ 10:00 AM @ LMC.
- LOL Connection (Ladies of the Lord)-This Connection group meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6:30 PM @ LMC.
- WOW Connection (Women of Worth)-Meeting dates vary from month to month
Why Should I Participate in Lyman Methodist Women Via a Connection Group?
We are committed to missions. As a member of LMW you can be involved with:
- Fellowship
- Bible study/prayer/devotions
- Hands-on missions in our community
- Supporting work with women, children, and youth
- Raising money through fundraisers that will have a local impact
- Making connections with other sisters in Christ
What Should I Expect If I Attend a Connection Group Meeting?
During our Connection meetings, we have a wonderful time in fellowship with other women of faith. We pray, plan, and seek to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Expect a loving group of women who lift each other up in the love of Christ.
